EMFACE facial treatment on the Gold Coast
EMFACE combines radiofrequency tissue heating with facial muscle stimulation. A consultation with Aesthetic Nurse Irina (Registered Nurse) helps assess whether this device-based procedure is appropriate for your concerns, medical history and expectations. EMFACE appointments are offered at the Broadbeach clinic.
Booking guidance: Select Broadbeach Clinic for EMFACE appointments in online booking. Call the clinic if you are unsure which appointment to choose.
How EMFACE works
Applicators deliver radiofrequency energy and HIFES muscle stimulation. The Australian intended purpose includes local tissue heating and muscle stimulation for strengthening facial muscles and reducing facial wrinkles. Applicator choice and suitability are assessed individually.
EMFACE uses external applicators rather than needles, but it still carries risks. It is not equivalent to a surgical facelift and cannot guarantee lifting, a particular contour or removal of wrinkles.
What happens at a consultation?
We discuss your concerns, medical history, previous procedures and the facial areas you would like assessed. The expected benefits, evidence, limitations, risks and alternatives are explained before any decision. Choosing no procedure is also an option.
Suitability and screening
Tell the practitioner about electronic or metal implants, medical conditions, skin concerns, medicines, pregnancy or breastfeeding and previous facial procedures. These can affect suitability or appointment timing. Screening is based on the device instructions and your individual history; this page is not a complete contraindication list.
Your treatment appointment
A treatment session commonly lasts around 20 minutes, with additional time for assessment and preparation. You may feel warmth and repeated facial muscle contractions. Tell the practitioner immediately about pain, excessive heat or discomfort. Settings and the course of care are determined individually.
Risks, recovery and results
Possible effects include temporary redness, warmth, sensitivity, tingling or muscle soreness. Heat-based treatment can also cause burns or blistering. Individual risks and how any complication would be managed must be discussed before treatment.
Some people can resume usual activities soon afterwards. Allow for possible redness, warmth or muscle soreness when planning your activities. Recovery and response vary. Any improvement may develop over several weeks, may be limited and is not guaranteed. Review is important before considering further appointments.
Jaw tension or TMJ concerns?
This page covers aesthetic EMFACE consultations. If your main concern is jaw tightness, clenching or discomfort, visit the separate TMJ and jaw tension consultation page. Jaw pain can have causes that require dental or medical assessment.
Costs and booking
An individual plan and quote are discussed after assessment and before treatment. EMFACE appointments are available in Broadbeach. Contact the clinic for appointment guidance.
